You may open your Web site directly from the server and start making changes right away! This is very similar to working with a document on your PC, but everything resides on the server. The advantage of this method is that you save time because your results are immediately available.
If this option interests you, perform the following steps:
Launch Microsoft® FrontPage 2000® from your desktop or Start menu.
Click the Open icon as if you were opening a file from your local computer.
Enter your domain name or IP address in the File name field and click Open.
If you are not already connected to the Internet, you will be prompted to connect at this time.
Enter your account 'Username' and 'Password' at the prompt.
A directory listing of your Web site appears, similar to the one below:
Select the document you want to open and click the Open button.
The page appears in the right frame, as shown below:
Make changes directly to the page as you would in a word-processing environment.
When you are ready to save your work, click on the Save icon .
After you click the Save icon, you are prompted for a file name and file location.
Enter a file name for this page or use the default name provided and click Save.
Changes take effect immediately and the world will see your Web site!
